RMH:
Hey, and welcome to Rave Me Hard! As the label boss of Déepalma Records, how do you feel about the immense growth and worldwide recognition that the label has achieved since its inception in 2013?
Yves Murasca:
Hey guys, thank you for having me at Rave Me Hard! I must say that I feel super grateful and humbled by the growth and worldwide recognition our label has achieved since its beginning in 2013. It's truly a remarkable journey that I could never have expected - huge thanks to our fans, label artists and the whole label team on this occasion!
RMH:
Déepalma has become known for its Ibiza-inspired sound, combining elements of House, Deep House, and Soul. How would you describe the unique qualities that make this sound so appealing to hedonists around the globe?
Yves Murasca:
When it comes to the Déepalma sound, it's all about capturing that special feeling. If a track doesn't evoke any emotions within me when I listen to a demo, then it's probably not the right fit for our label. The unique qualities that make our sound appealing to hedonists worldwide might be attributed to the infectious rhythms, catchy melodies, and remarkable vocals that we incorporate. There's also an overall warm atmosphere that surrounds our music. All these elements combine to create a captivating vibe that allows people to immerse themselves in the music and feel joy and happiness when listening.
RMH:
The 'Déepalma Ibiza' compilation series is known for its immersive continuous mixes that capture the essence of the Balearic hotspot. Could you elaborate on the significant scenarios or experiences that each mix aims to mimic?
Yves Murasca:
On our Ibiza summer compilations, we always include three different mixes. CD1 is called 'Sunset Moods', and it's all about the transition from day to night. The mix starts with emotional tracks that create a warm and cozy atmosphere. As it goes on, the intensity builds up. You can expect to hear artists like Solomun, Maya Jane Coles, and Gorge in this mix.

CD2 is called 'Poolparty Grooves', perfect for dancing by the pool. It features groovy house and tech house tunes, with artists like David Penn, Purple Disco Machine, and Claptone.

CD3, called 'Beach Feelings', aims to create a relaxed vibe that gradually becomes groovy. It includes Deep House and Nu Disco tracks from artists like Miguel Migs, Scott Diaz, T.Markakis, and Michael Gray. Each mix is carefully selected to transport you to different scenarios and experiences. Whether you're watching the sunset, partying by the pool, or chilling on the beach, we want the music to create the right mood and leave a lasting impression.
RMH:
What can listeners expect from the latest edition of 'Déepalma Ibiza'? Are there any standout tracks or artists that you'd like to highlight?
Yves Murasca:
In the latest edition of 'Déepalma Ibiza,' listeners can expect exciting tracks across each mix. As there are three mixes, I would like to highlight three tracks that stand out for me and that I'm particularly fond of.

Starting with CD1, Gorge's 'Sleepless,' was released as a single on Déepalma in May. I was genuinely thrilled when Gorge shared this previously unreleased gem with us. It's a captivating tune that embodies the essence of our label.

Moving on to CD2, I must mention the LF System Remix of 'Speed Trials on Acid' by Carl Cox & Fatboy Slim. I have a deep admiration for this incredible piano anthem. It brings so much energy and joy.

Lastly, on CD3, we included 'The Distance' by Miguel Migs, featuring the talented singer Aya. This track is a true masterpiece, filled with beauty and soulful vibes that touch your heart.
RMH:
Ibiza has long been recognized as a global hub for electronic music and club culture. How has the island influenced and shaped the sound of Déepalma Records over the years?
Yves Murasca:
The island is renowned worldwide as a melting pot for electronic music and club culture, and it has significantly shaped our label. I've been visiting Ibiza since 1999 and have spent numerous summer seasons there, and I continue to return year after year. I've been fortunate enough to play gigs in Ibiza, including renowned venues like Bora Bora, and I've made lasting friendships there with people who share the same passion for music. Ibiza is like an addiction; it's a magical place for me.

The essence of Déepalma as a brand and the sound we represent originated on the island. It encompasses everything I've experienced in Ibiza - the incredible vibes, the unforgettable parties, and the amazing people. These elements have shaped our label's identity and influenced our music choices and artistic direction.
RMH:
If you could throw a massive beach party anywhere in the world, aside from Ibiza, where would it be and why?
Yves Murasca:
That's an easy one. Mexico. I love the country and the people. Furthermore, I love Quesadillas and all the other Mexican food specialities.
RMH:
As a lover of music yourself, if you had to choose one iconic artist, past or present, to collaborate with on a track, who would it be and why?
Yves Murasca:
As someone who truly loves music, particularly with a classical house background, I would be thrilled to collaborate with Dennis Ferrer someday. He is an iconic artist who has consistently produced tracks that make a significant impact. His talent and ability to create music that resonates deeply with listeners is admirable. Collaborating with Dennis Ferrer would be an incredible opportunity to learn from his expertise.
RMH:
Is there anything upcoming you'd like to share with us?
Yves Murasca:
Certainly! Towards the end of July, I have an exciting release that takes a slightly different direction from my usual style. It's a super relaxed Deep House track called "De Mi Corazón," collaborating with my talented friend Ingolf Schapke (also known as Nebulae Waves, Living Room or Pearldiver). This release will be available on the Swiss label okwow.

Additionally, on August 11th, I'll release my next single alongside Rosario Galati. The track is titled "Be Sure To Let Go," and it will be released on my label, Déepalma Records.
