Betoko's 2012 smash hit, "Raining Again," continues to be a gift that keeps on giving. It has gained international recognition as one of the biggest dance music anthems of the last fifteen years. In March 2023, Berlin-based record label Embassy One partnered with music NFT marketplace twelve x twelve for a groundbreaking collaboration. They released a series of high-profile remixes, inviting some of electronic music's biggest artists to reimagine the iconic hit record.

The collaboration kicked off with remixes from Roger Sanchez, Sharam Jey & Bakka, and Betoko himself. Now, they announce the worldwide release of the fourth and final remix, courtesy of British DJ and producer duo, Eli & Fur. The remix was initially released as an exclusive digital vinyl/music NFT on June 6, and it is now available on all streaming platforms via Embassy One.

Eli & Fur, known as one of the most exciting newcomer acts of the past decade, showcase their creative artistry and technical prowess with a tasteful reinterpretation of "Raining Again." They guide the original into laidback, contemporary waters, offering a deeply alluring soundscape. The remix incorporates organic percussion, emotive basslines, and decorative, twinkling synths. It introduces elements influenced by world music and ambient tones, providing listeners with a fresh perspective on the track's staple vocal line.

Originally released in 2012, Betoko's legendary dance anthem, "Raining Again," was hailed as the "Track of The Summer" and has since garnered over 13 million streams on Spotify alone, with over 100 million hits worldwide across all platforms. This record has undoubtedly stood the test of time, and Embassy One's initiative aims to revive its global impact while introducing it to a modern audience through a carefully curated selection of remixers.

The decision to release the remix as a digital vinyl aims to give the artist back artistic freedom instead of algorithmic control. It also allows fans to own a piece of music history through exclusive content and limited access. This approach fosters a stronger connection and mutual growth between the artist and their dedicated fans.
